Lucas Bohn, one of the most booked college comedians in the country, will be doing his routine at Sauk Valley Community College on Tuesday, October 22 at 7 p.m. in Mathis Theatre free for the public.
Bohn realized his passion and talent for comedy at a young age. When he was in the second grade he purchased a joke book and quickly began writing jokes, insults, and puns of his own. He wrote to the authors of the book and received a letter from the publishers notifying him that three of his jokes would be used in the book’s sequel. Lucas became the first published member of his family at the age of 11. While in college, he decided to try his hand at a local comedy club and was soon asked to become the regular house emcee. From there, Bohn now performs at clubs, theaters and colleges throughout the United States as one of the most requested acts. He has also performed alongside well-known comedians like Dave Chappelle, Pablo Francisco and Jimmy Fallon.
This high energy show, coupled with Bohn’s hilarious impersonations, leaves audience members in stitches. For more information on the free performance, contact Ana Salgado, SVCC student activities coordinator, at 815-835-6432.
