SVCC Student Awarded SVCC Alternative Energy Scholarship

scholarshipSauk Valley Community College student Jeremy Lemmert of Dixon has been awarded a SVCC alternative energy scholarship for the 2013-14 academic year in the amount of $500.

Lemmert, a sustainable technology major, plans to graduate from Sauk in 2014 with an Associate in Applied Science. A 2010 graduate of Dixon High School, Jeremy is the son of Leah and Bruce Lemmert of Dixon.

The SVCC alternative energy scholarship is given by one of over 100 private donors that provide scholarships to deserving Sauk students each year. These scholarships play a crucial role in helping these students pursue their educational goals.

The Sauk Foundation is a non-profit corporation that helps to broaden the educational opportunities and services that SVCC provides for its students. Each year the Foundation distributes scholarships that total more than $190,000.
