SHARON IRVING PERFORMING AT MATHIS THEATRE

SVCC Presents Acclaimed Musical Storyteller,

Sharon Irving, February 4

 

In honor of Black History Month, Sharon Irving will perform Thursday, February 4 at 7 p.m. in the SVCC Mathis Theatre. This performance is free and open to all.

 As the daughter of famed jazz musician and former musical director for Miles Davis, Robert Irving III, and granddaughter of the late Reverend Dr. Morris H. Tynes, noted civil rights leader, Irving shares a rich musical and social justice history with her family.

 Irving will share her popular and faith-based music and poetry, blending soul, hip hop, funk and fusion.

Ms. Irving was a semi-finalist on NBC’s Season Ten of “America’s Got Talent”, has performed at Radio City Music Hall, and is a lead singer with the popular Chicago band, “Pocket Radio”.
