Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration Degree

Sauk Valley Community College students can participate in the Dual Enrollment program with Western Illinois University-Quad Cities to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration.

Students can complete a bachelor’s degree in three years with a locked-in WIU tuition rate.

Students take courses at SVCC (at SVCC tuition rate) with one course at WIU (at WIU tuition rate) for the first two years and spend the third year finishing the bachelor’s degree at the Quad Cities campus for this degree path.

This creates a convenient, high quality option for students interested in careers in recreation administration and programming, park planning and management, outdoor/adventure recreation, therapeutic recreation, college leisure services programming, tourism, and youth services programming.
