“Sex and the Law” by C.L. Lindsay
September 21, 2016
7:00p - 8:00p
C.L. Lindsay is a leading authority on Higher Education Law. He literally wrote the book on legal problems in higher education. The College Student’s Guide to the Law is used by students, university counsel, and nationwide as a textbook for masters and law courses.
Lindsay’s work has been featured in US News & World Reports, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Washington Post, and countless other national and local media outlets.
What defines Lindsay is his uncanny ability to make legal concepts not only understandable, but outright hilarious. In fact, the movie rights to his book were recently purchased by Steve Carrell to be developed into a motion picture.
Lindsay will discuss the difficult yet important topics concerning sexual assault (including date rape & statutory rape), stalking, sexual abuse, & domestic abuse - what constitutes each crime, penalties for each, how to report an incident, and strategies for avoiding victimization.
