Six Cross Country Skyhawks Advance to Nationals

First in Cross Country from the women’s team, three runners qualified for the NJCAA Nationals.

First a freshman from Rock Falls High School, Bailie Smith. Next another freshman from Rock Falls High School, Makaley Valezquez.

The third qualifier from the women’s team going to the NJCAA Nationals for her second year in a row and finishing fourth overall in the Region IV Championship from Sterling High School, Sophomore Mercedes Sanchez.

From the Men’s Cross Country team there are also three runners that will compete at the NJCAA National.

Finishing third overall at the Regional Championships from Rock Falls High School, Freshman Seth Williams.

Also qualifying from Sterling High School, Sophomore Peter DeLaFuente. And finally from Dixon High School, Sophomore Quincy Coomes will also compete at the NJCAA National meet.

Coaches for both the women’s and men’s team are assistant coach Nick Hartz and in his 15th year as head coach, Mike Sullivan. Congratulations to the Skyhawks Cross Country team!
