Confessions of Digestion Exhibit at SVCC

Sauk Valley Community College Hosts Visiting Artist, William Butler, March 15-April 13

The SVCC Art Gallery is hosting Confession of Digestion by visiting artist, William Butler, March 15 through April 13.

A special reception with the artist is Tuesday, April 4, 4-6 p.m. with refreshments provided.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

Butler worked in the graphic design and illustration fields showing his work in galleries in Illinois, New York, and Toronto. In addition, Butler has work in the Western and Eastern Illinois University collections. 

Hundreds of his award-winning paintings and prints have sold at art fairs all over the Midwest, Florida, and New York.

Since 1996, Butler has maintained a studio at the Peoria Contemporary Art Center and has served as their Executive Director since 2003.

Now retired, Les teaches art classes for the Viva Arts program at The Next Picture Show gallery in Dixon, Illinois and is pursuing his life-long passion of fine art and black and white analog (film based) photography.

The Sauk Art Gallery is located on the second floor of the east end of Sauk’s campus, 173 IL RT 2, Dixon.
