SVCC 9/11 Monument Rededication and Health Professions Ribbon Cutting September 25
Sauk Valley Community College invites the public to the rededication ceremony honoring our 9/11 first responders, followed by a special ribbon cutting for the newly renovated Health Professions areas on Monday, September 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Originally located by the Fire Science building, the SVCC 9/11 Local Heroes Memorials are moving to a new place of honor at the front entrance to Sauk’s West Mall.
The rededication ceremony will include a short program including a wreath laying ceremony.
After the rededication, the public is invited to join Sauk for the official ribbon cutting for the newly renovated Health Professions areas.
This 12,000 square foot area offers Sauk students access to smart lecture and training facilities, and high fidelity manikins that incorporate the latest in computer hardware technology.
Guests will be invited to take tours and observe simulations.
The 9/11 Heroes Monuments rededication starts at 4:30 p.m. at the entrance to the SVCC West Mall. The ceremony will move inside in case of inclement weather.
The ribbon cutting will begin at approximately 5:15 p.m. in the West Mall entrance, to include a short program, and move to the second floor West areas.
This event is open and free to the public, with refreshments provided.
The Health Professions ribbon cutting is presented in partnership with the Dixon, Rock Falls, and Sauk Valley Area Chambers.
