GET YOUR FAFSA FILED
If you want or need to apply for financial aid for the 2018-19 academic year, the FAFSA filing period opens Sunday, October 1.
FAFSA – the Free Application for Federal Student Aid – is the U.S. Department of Education’s mechanism to consider students for Pell grants, federal student loans and work-study opportunities.
If you want to secure a MAP grant, don’t wait until the last minute to file. The Monetary Award Program has limited funds, so when the money’s gone, the money’s gone.
These funds are first-come, first-served and there is no way to tell when they will run out. Getting your FAFSA submitted ASAP is the best way to ensure the assistance you’ll need to take classes this spring.
If you have questions about your MAP eligibility, filling out your FAFSA or scholarship opportunities at Sauk contact the financial aid office, firstname.lastname@example.org.
