How do I get logged in for the first time?
  • Sauk has created email accounts for all enrolled students. The email address is created based on the following format:
    firstname.m.lastname@students.svcc.edu
  • In some cases we may not have your middle initial on record, in that case your address would be:
    firstname.lastname@students.svcc.edu
  • In some cases your email address might be longer than 20 characeters in this case we use first initial.middle initial.lastname:
    j.h.jackson@students.svcc.edu
  • So, John Q. Doe for example, would have an email address of:
    john.q.doe@students.svcc.edu
  • The initial password is set to svXXXX with XXXX being the last four digits of your Sauk ID. So for our above example, assume John Q. Doe's Sauk ID is: @12345678 then the initial password would then be:
    sv5678
  • If you don't know your Sauk ID number, go to this site and use the User ID Lookup Tool:
    www.svcc.edu/whatismyid
Where do I go to login to my student email?
  • It is recommended that you change your password the first time that you login. To do this once you have logged in:
    • Click on Settings in the upper right hand corner
    • Click on the Accounts tab in the yellow area
    • Click on the Change Password link toward the bottom
  • If you're having trouble getting logged into your account, perhaps you've already changed your password. One other possibility is that your account has not been created yet, it normally takes one business day from the time you enroll as a student.
How can I forward my student email to another email address?
  • You do have the option to forward your student email to another email account (ex. Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.). To get this setup you'll need to:
    • Click on Settings in the upper right hand corner
    • Click on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab in the yellow area
    • Choose (x) Forward a copy of incoming mail to:
    • Enter your email address in the blank
    • Click on Save Changes at the bottom of the screen
How long can I keep my student email address?
  • Your will be able to use your student email account for one year after you are no longer enrolled as a student at Sauk.
Can I do anything else with me student email account?
  •  Your students.svcc.edu account functions just like any Google Account, so you can use it for many Google services, including Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Talk, YouTube, and more.
