Purpose / Notes:
The Parking Program for Persons with Disabilities provides parking spaces near entrances
for easier accessibility. The program is also dedicated in preventing abuse and fraud
of the important program. Drivers Services are available Monday through Friday from
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Automated features are available 24 hours a day. To be eligible
for the program, one must meet one the following requirements: cannot walk without
the assistance of another person, prosthetic device, wheelchair, or other assistive
device; be restricted by a lung disease to such a degree that forced expiratory volume
in 1 second is less than 1 liter when measured by spirometry; uses a portable oxygen
tank; have a Class III or Class IV cardiac condition according to standards set by
the American Heart Association; or be severely limited in the ability to walk due
to an arthritic, neurological or orthopedic condition. Disability license plates and
parking placards are not transferable.
