Head Coach Russ Damhoff

Head Coach, Russ Damhoff begins his 26th season as coach of the Skyhawks.  Last season the Skyhawks finished a disappointing 15-16 overall.

“ The record didn’t reflect how we played the best teams in the region.  We had a lot of close loses to the best teams in the region and with six of our top nine players returning it could be a fun year in 2011-2012”.  Twenty six years sound’s like a long time, but each year you start with the same goals, and dreams, and excitement, and the feeling that this will be a special season”.  “The opportunity to work with outstanding athletes and compete against some of the best teams in the country never gets old”.

A graduate of Prophetstown High School, Damhoff earned both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Physical Education (1192) from Northern Illinois University.  He and his wife Jackie reside in the Dixon area.
