Golf Team Outlook 2010

The Skyhawk golf team schedule is very competitive and provides Sauk golfers with competition with two and four year colleges in the three state area. Three returning golfers will lead the team through the fall invitational, usually comprised of 15-20 colleges each week for eight weeks. Ryan Eccles and James Huffstutler return as sophomores with a year experience under their belts. Together with Tanner Brown these three golfers will bring the experience necessary to lead the Skyhawks this fall. Tanner and Ryan completed their two season freshman year with the lowest returning averages. Both have the skill to play nationally if they are consistent over the three day national qualifier.

Joining the sophomore threesome are two Dixon teammates Caleb Bradley and Kyle Henley. Both offer challenges to the 1st and 2nd positions of the Skyhawk golf squad. They have shown they could play at this level and will be an attribute to any college golf team. If they adjust to the longer courses and stiff competition, the Skyhawks could be a team to watch. Rounding out the Skyhawk golf team will be an experienced Amboy golfer, Trevor  Sondgeroth, and Zach Franque who played for Dixon as well. In addition, Ben Brokaw will be playing while he works his way through the rad tech program. The Skyhawk Classic at Emerald Hill will feature over fifteen colleges to watch and enjoy. Join them and others for a quiet Friday afternoon to cheer for our Skyhawks at no charge.
