Men's Tennis Team Outlook

This year’s Skyhawk Men’s Tennis team will have many of new faces. With these new faces come great opportunities for success! The only two returning players this year include James Huffstutler from Dixon and Tim Dettman from Sterling. These men did a great job for Sauk last year and will help lead the team through the tough spring schedule. The Skyhawk’s schedule is competitive as the team faces competition from nine other NJCAA colleges, many from the Chicago land area.

This will not scare this team as big contributions are anticipated from a talented group of freshmen. The new players for this year’s team are Patrick Ginn, Caleb Bradley, and Peter Balser all of Dixon and Ryan Downings and Chance Frey from Sterling. Bradley and Ginn both played the number one singles spot for Dixon High School and are very skilled tennis players. Balser, Downings, and Frey are all experienced players and will all be an attribute to the team as well.

With hard work and dedication this team has the potential to be among the top three teams at the Regionals in April and could qualify for the National Tournament.
