Building a Philosophy:
The first concern for those addressing the HLC assessment expectations was creating an assessment philosophy for the college which provided rationale and direction for the development process. The following foundational statement was incorporated into the Assessment Plan ( see Appendix N) and ratified by faculty on November 14, 2005:
