Coaches often say that “this is a rebuilding year.” This statement is true for Sauk for this cross-country year. We graduated five women while two others are not returning. However, we have been successful in our recruitment efforts of fine area athletes and hope to put together a competitive team.

We have four sophomore men returning from last year’s team and four freshmen joining as well. The prospect for this year’s men’s squad looks very promising. Two of the four men, Sean Leaf and Anthony Lombardo, qualified for Nationals last year and will lead the team toward this goal in 2011.
