Function of the Job

Assist the Academic Advising / Admissions & Records office with general office processes while maintaining confidentially of all student records.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. General office duties including filing, scanning, and copying and data entry.
  2. Organize and maintain work space/office supplies.
  3. Assist students with accessing College software, online registration, and other general questions.
  4. Make reminder calls for scheduled appointments and informational meetings.
  5. Assist with mailings.
  6. Other duties/projects as assigned by office staff.

Essential Functions

  1. Must display professionalism and confidentiality in all matters.
  2. Must be able to communicate clearly and precisely.
  3. Must be able to use computers.
  4. Must be able to operate basic office equipment.
  5. Must be able to follow directions.

Personal Interaction

Daily contact with College personnel, faculty, students, and the general public in the routine performance of duties and departmental services.

Requirements

Federal Work-Study provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses.

The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study. Students participating in the Federal Work Study Program are paid minimum wage and can work up to 20 hours per week. The student is not guaranteed a set number of hours per week.

Coordinates the College Risk Management Program in a capacity appropriate to this position. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring conditions, events and circumstances present through daily College operations, and communicating observations to the appropriate supervisor or taking necessary actions to correct, prevent or limit safety problems. May serve as a member of a committee that supports the health, safety and/or legal rights of visitors, students and staff.
