  • Discover Sauk! - Junior/Senior Visit

    Discover Sauk! is a campus visit program designed to give you information about Sauk Valley Community College. It is an event primarily for incoming first-year students, but anyone is welcome. During your visit you will learn more about programs of study, financial aid, SVCC clubs  and organizations, go on a campus tour, take part in a classroom experience , and hear from our current students.  Fall 2016 semester Discover Sauk will focus on the following programs of study:

    • Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, 9:30-Noon - Health Careers- Learn more about our nursing and radiology programs. 
    • Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, 9:30-Noon - Transfer Degree - Learn more about our degree programs that will transfer on to your next step in higher education. 
    • Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, 9:30-Noon - Industrial Technology - Learn more about the different degrees and certificates (and jobs!) in the Industrial Technology field.

  • College Night

    More than 80 different representatives from colleges, universities, vocational-technical schools, and the military will be on hand to answer questions about their institutions and programs. This is one of the best opportunities of the year to learn more about specific institutions all at once.

    College Night will also feature a free Financial Aid Workshop at from 5-6 p.m. in room 1K4. The Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) and financial aid opportunities for all prospective and returning students will be discussed.

    The largest gathering of its kind in the area, College Night is sponsored by Sauk Valley Community College and area high schools. For more information, call SVCC’s Office of Recruitment at 815-835-6266.
