Education

Education is the study of the theory, history, and philosophy of learning, and the practical skills of pedagogy.

Career Expectations

A bachelor’s degree in education from an Illinois-approved certification program prepares students for teacher licensure in the state of Illinois and to become classroom teachers. Graduate degrees in education prepare students to be school administrators and specialized school personnel such as counselors or special education teachers.
