This program is designed to prepare students for employment in heating and air conditioning service work.
Work and Employment
The technician is an entry-level position. The program graduate will troubleshoot and repair heating and air conditioning systems. The technician will be required to use and have knowledge of special testing equipment. Work conducted as an entry-level technician is usually supervised by a seasoned professional. The technician must be able to work in wide range of environments including a construction type environment and finished residential and light commercial buildings. The technician must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently and 80 pounds occasionally.
