Job Description

  • Accurately diagnose, repair and maintain equipment and accessories in optimum operating condition within manufacturers published electrical, mechanical, and copy quality specifications.
  • Aid fellow technicians when required to maintain optimum response time and customer satisfaction.
  • Complete required paperwork neatly, accurately and on time.
  • Project a positive image through proper attire, communication skills and personal grooming. Ability to diagnose and resolve software and hardware problems in a timely fashion
  • Ability to navigate and utilize internet and manufacturer resources
  • Ability to manage service call load to attain a 4-hour response time and 8-hour fix time upon notification of parts arrival
  • Ability to maintain a personal parts inventory in an efficient and effective manner
  • Ability to demonstrate time management skills to handle work load
  • Ability to manage one or multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Provide updates of service calls upon completion or incompletion of each call to the call support center
  • Report to and be prepared to begin work promptly at 8:00 a.m., work a minimum 8-hour day, with a 1-hour lunch, and continue work until 5:00 p.m. These hours may shift as customer or work load demands and should be expected to start prior to 8:00 a.m. and continue past 5:00 p.m.
  • Demonstrate the ability to contact account leader, team leader or service management to seek assistance if you are unable to perform the task in a timely fashion or if you encounter any reasons that are preventing the timely resolution of a service call.
  • Ability to complete a minimum of 5 service calls in an 8 hours period including travel.
  • Customer Service
    • Maintain customer satisfaction through on-going needs analysis and equipment performance feedback.
    • Possess good listening skills
    • Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
    • Possess strong phone skills

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing printers and/or copiers.
  • Working knowledge of multiple operating systems including Microsoft, Apple, and Google.
