Purpose:
Arrowhead Ranch is a private, not-for-profit, non-sectarian treatment facility serving at-risk youth of ages 12-21. It is the mission of Arrowhead Ranch to motivate at-risk youth to become productive and responsible young men and women by providing the highest quality counseling, education, and social services to youth and their families.
Remarks:
Services are available to all counties of Illinois. Services are open to adolescents regardless of race, color, or national origin. The facilty is located in a rural setting just outside of Coal Valley, Illinois, only a few miles from the Quad-Cities (a metropolitan area of more than 400,000 people along the Mississippi River). Arrowhead Ranch is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services to care for 66 youth in its residential program and is accredited by the Council of Accreditation. Educational services at Arrowhead Ranch are provided, on grounds, by the Moline School District #40, which is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education as a Residential School.
