The Helping Hands of the Sterling First Church of the Nazarene lends a hand to anyone in need.


Services are available on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Thursday mornings 9:00 AM to Noon. Helping Hands provide monetary services such as helping with the rent, gas, and electric bills. The Helping Hands also provides transportation for abused women and children. Household items and furnishings, such as refrigerators, stoves, beds, tables, chairs, and others, are also available. The program will also make referrals to other agencies where there is additional assistance available. Services also include help with financial planning. Food and clothing is also available at the Church. Helping Hands is available through the involvement of volunteers who donate household items and furniture, donate non-perishable food to stock the food pantry, pick up and deliver furniture, and those who pick up food from the food bank.
