Purpose:
The Parking Program for Persons with Disabilities provides parking spaces near entrances for easier accessibility. The program is also dedicated in preventing abuse and fraud of the important program.
Remarks:
Drivers Services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Automated features are available 24 hours a day. To be eligible for the program, one must meet one the following requirements: cannot walk without the assistance of another person, prosthetic device, wheelchair, or other assistive device; be restricted by a lung disease to such a degree that forced expiratory volume in 1 second is less than 1 liter when measured by spirometry; uses a portable oxygen tank; have a Class III or Class IV cardiac condition according to standards set by the American Heart Association; or be severely limited in the ability to walk due to an arthritic, neurological or orthopedic condition. Disability license plates and parking placards are not transferable.
