How to Become a Writing Center Peer Consultant
Would you like to become a Peer Consultant for the Writing Center?
Peer Consultants assist other students in every stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to final drafts. If that is something you would be interested in doing, we'd love to chat with you about the possibility of you working with us.
In order to become a Peer Consultant, you will need a referral from an instructor. Also, you will need to demonstrate your writing and language skills by submitting an example of your writing, passing a short grammar exam, and completing an interview with the Writing Center Coordinator. Than after you are hired, you must complete an online training sequence before actively working with students.
Peer Consultants may use work study hours for this position.
