Program Goals

• Support student transfer and acceptance to accredited teacher preparation programs in Illinois.
• Improve students’ essential knowledge in educational theory, the history and philosophy of education, diversity, and practical skills of pedagogy.
• Fulfill the specific requirements of the licensure program at our most-frequent transfer schools.
• Introduce students to the Illinois Professional Teaching Standards, with the distribution and mastery level recommended by ISBE.
