Payment Information

Dual Credit Cost Per Course (When taught by High School Teacher)

In order to provide accessible college credit to high school students, SVCC offers dual credit at a reduced tuition and Student Support Fee rate for dual credit classes that are taught by high school faculty. Regarding tuition, all students will be charged a $50 flat rate per class in which they are enrolled in courses in their own district with their own faculty member. Billing for these fees will be sent to the high school.

Dual Credit Cost Per Course (When taken with an SVCC Instructor)

In order to provide accessible college credit to high school students, SVCC offers dual credit at a reduced rate  for dual credit classes, in which an SVCC professor is the instructor. This can take place sometimes at a high school, but is primarily found in online courses or those offered at the college campus. In order to be eligible for this waiver, the high school or student must provide evidence of need by providing information about free or reduced lunch status. Based on this status, the Dual Credit Tuition Waiver is:

  • 25% tuition and fee waiver for standard students (students who do not show evidence of need)
  • 50% tuition and fee waiver for students who receive a reduced priced school lunch
  • 75% tuition and fee waiver for students who receive a free school lunch

High school students are billed 75% of the current college tuition ($151.00 a credit hour) unless documentation of participation in Federal Free/Reduced lunch is provided. Payment is expected in full by the payment due date, unless the student enrolls in the payment plan. If a student is taking a course on his/her high school campus and taught by the high school instructor, there will be no money exchanged.
