Sauk Valley went 6-0 this weekend at the Waubonsee Region 4 Invite in Sugar Grove. 

In their first match on Friday, the Skyhawks won a 5 set match against #16 McHenry Co by scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-16, 21-25 & 15-12. Leaders were Sommer Rhea with 16 kills, Hannah Peterson with 10 kills and 5 kill blocks, Tori Smoode with 4 kills and 6 kill blocks, Gwen Lohr-Fandel with 6 kills and 16 digs, Mackenzie Skoumal with 6 kills, Sydney Young with 15 digs, Paige kills and 6 kill blocks, Gwen Lohr-Fandel with 6 kills and 16 digs, Mackenzie Skoumal with 6 kills, Sydney Young with 15 digs, Paige Conner with 18 assists and Kacey Koch with 17 assists. 

In their 2nd match on Friday Sauk won a 4 set match with Kankakee by scores of 25-15, 24-26, 25-18& 25-21.  Leaders were Sommer Rhea with 13 kills and 17 digs, Hannah Peterson with 10 kills and 3 kill blocks, Mackenzie Skoumal with 9 kills, Tori Smoode with 7 kills, Sydney Young with 16 digs, Kacey Koch with 15 assists, Paige Conner with 13 assists and Alexis Herrera with 7 assists. 

On Saturday, the Skyhawks opened with a straight set win against College of Lake County by scores of 25-10, 23-13 & 25-18.  Leaders were Sommer Rhea with 14 kills and 11 digs, Tori Smoode and Mackenzie Skoumal with 7 kills each, Sydney Young with 11 digs and Alexis Herrera with 16 assists.

Sauk then played host and #12 Waubonsee, and came away with a straight set win by scores of 25-23, 28-26 & 25-15.  Leaders were Sommer Rhea with 16 kills and 21 digs, Hannah Peterson with 10 kills and 5 kill blocks,  Mackenzie Skoumal and Tori Smoode with 5 kills each, Gwen Lohr-Fandel with 12 digs, Kacey Koch with 19 assists and 9 digs, and Paige Conner with 13 assists.

Skyhawks continued play on Sunday with 2 straight set wins over Moraine Valley and South Suburban.  Scores were 25-19, 25-14 & 25-21 against Moraine Valley.  Leaders were Sommer Rhea with 11 kills and 14 digs, Gwen Lohr-Fandel with 8 kills and 10 digs, Hannah Peterson with 8 kills, Mackenzie Skoumal with 6 kills, Jensyn McKinney with 5 kills, Kacey Koch with 13 assists, Paige Conner with 11 assists and Alexis Herrera with 7 assists.

Sauk ended the tournament with a 3-0 win against South Suburban by scores of 25-14, 25-23& 25-14.  Leaders were Sommer Rhea with 14 kills and 12 digs, Gwen Lohr-Fandel with 9 kills and 9 digs.  Hannah Peterson and Mackenzie Skoumal with 6 kills, Olivia Pilgrim with 12 digs, Paige Conner with 15 assists, Alexis Herrera with 13 assists and Kacey Koch with 9 assists.

Sauk is now 15-3 on the season, and are next in action Tuesday night at home against Highland.
