08-31-2018 NIU Huskie Challenge
The Sauk Valley Community College Skyhawks traveled to Northern Illinois University for the Huskie Challenge.
The women were led by Haley Weidner in her 21st place finish in a time 17:50. She was followed by Mekenzie Harden in 25th (18:22); Nataleigh Nugent in 32nd (19:09); Maegan McCue in 33rd (19:38.6); Mayra Nava-Moyotl in 34th (19:53.4); and Katy Anderson in 39th (20:22). The girls finished closely to the other JC team in the field who was Division 3 defending champions, Harper College (114-116).
The men were led by Ian Hussung in 26th place (20:50). He was followed by Jacob Heller in 34th (25:04) and Boston Rodriguez in 38th (29:33).
It was a great night for a meet and the team did great. They run next Friday in Aurora in the Spartan Classic.
