Astec Mobile Screens screening equipment starts as a raw product of plate and structural steel. This material is processed through our pre-fabrication area of plasma, band saw, press brake, drill line and machining. From there the material goes to our welding production area and paint booth. With a combination of manufactured and purchased components the equipment is fully assembled in our final assembly bays. Once assembled, the equipment goes through a final quality control check before being shipped to domestic and international customers.
A Multicraft Intern at Astec Mobile Screens would be assigned to the facility maintenance department and would assist with projects for operation improvement, preventive maintenance, and machine repair. Required to work side by side with the current staff and also work independently on some projects. Some projects would require creative thinking for achieving the end goal without much assistance. Your skills with electrical, mechanical, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing and troubleshooting will be of value to this internship. Our maintenance employees are true Multi-Craftsman with years of experience in many disciplines that will give an eager intern a wealth of knowledge to help him/her grow.
