FRANTZ Manufacturing Company, located in Sterling, Illinois, is a manufacturer and marketer of conveyor system components and steel ball products used in a variety of applications. With two plants on the west end of Sterling, FRANTZ sets the standard of excellence to serve material handling and automotive industry customer needs. FRANTZ manufacturing capabilities take product from raw material to finished goods in the same locations, further streamlining delivery to customers. Production processes include Steel Stamping, Cold Heading, Screw Machining, Stone Grinding, Heat Treating, Electro Plating, Quality Inspection and Automated Assembly, along with expert Tool & Die and Maintenance support for all of our operations.

A Multicraft Intern at FRANTZ would be assigned to the Tool Room and Maintenance departments to provide project support in a variety of ways. Tasks could include equipment repair, preventative maintenance, welding, PLC Programing, fabricating, re-building, carpentry, plumbing, and troubleshooting - to name a few. Our maintenance technicians are true Multi-Craftsman with years of experience in many disciplines that will give an eager intern a wealth of knowledge to help him/her grow.
