The Sauk Student Paper is Back this Fall!

You can explore different aspects of working on a student paper from writing, to editing, to graphic design. Even if you don’t plan to pursue journalism as a career, this is a great opportunity to hone your writing and organizational skills.

To enroll to be part of the next Sauk Student Newspaper, enroll in ENG 153, Basic News Writing (Fall) or ENG 154, Basic News Editing (Spring). There are a limited number of available spots.

You can also get involved with the newspaper by joining Sauk's new student organization, Journalism Club!  The clubs meet every few weeks.  To find out more, send an email with your name and phone number to, or contact the co-advisors, Tom Irish and Rachel Brunner.

Email for information or call Sauk’s Student Services Center with your questions, 815-835-6354.
