As our adult education students are completing their educational goals, our Adult Education Advisor will meet with students to discuss goal completion, explore possible careers, and walk through the steps to enroll in college or to enter the workforce.

We have 4 programs to assist students in the transition to college or to the workforce:

  1. The Manufacturing Bridge Course provides you with the opportunity to explore a career in manufacturing.  You will also develop the skills needed to be successful in a training program, and become more familiar with the manufacturing training programs available at Sauk Valley Community College.
  2. The Health Careers Bridge Course provides you with the opportunity to explore the skills required for a career in health care, develop the study and learning skills needed to be successful in a health career training program, and become more familiar with the health care training programs available at Sauk Valley Community College.
  3. The College and Career Success Course will prepare you for college or the workforce by learning about your college and career options, developing study strategies, as well as the time management skills needed to be successful in college or your career.
  4. The CNA ICAPS program will provide you with additional FREE support and instruction as you complete the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate at Sauk Valley Community College.
